Heat Treatment for Wooden Pallets

  • ISPM15 stands for Internal Standards for Phytosanitary Measure Number 15.
    The process of phytosanitary means that the pallets are heat treated to a 56 degrees temperature for around 30 minutes. The treated pallets can then be used around the world.
  • The process of phytosanitary are steps taken to protect humans, animals and plants from contaminants, pests and disease.
  • After heat treatment the pallets are stamped with an identification mark. This ID mark specifies the country of origin of the heat treatment, GB in this instance, followed by a number. The GB and number also identify the company who have carried out the treatment,
  • The process also prolongs the life of the pallets as it also destroys moisture within the pallet as well as contaminants, pests and disease,
  • Heat treated pallets can be shipped and used across the globe.
  • ISPM 15 is internationally recognised and the control of this standard is strict within the UK. We are regularly audited to ensure rigorous adherence,
  • In accordance with regulations for shipping goods overseas N&C pallets ltd are ISPM15 approved, and we work under the guidelines of the forestry commission. We heat treat pallets on site and issue certificates and a graph of the temperature as part of the process.
